We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer who wants to be part of building and scaling the technology behind our Live Casino platform, ensuring performance, reliability, and innovation at every step.

This role can be performed remotely or from our Malta office (hybrid model).

Responsibilities

Your day-to-day will include:

• Designing and implementing scalable, robust, and reliable backend systems to support our live casino platform

• Ensuring high performance, security, and availability across all backend services

• Collaborating closely with Product Owners, Developers, and QA Engineers to deliver new features and improvements

• Building and maintaining well-documented and well-tested systems

• Implementing monitoring and alerting solutions to proactively detect and resolve issues

• Mentoring and supporting junior developers, helping them grow in both technical and domain knowledge

• Continuously improving backend architecture by applying modern technologies and best practices

• Contributing to a strong engineering culture focused on quality, collaboration, and delivery

Qualifications

You're our ideal Senior Backend Developer if you:

• Have at least 5 years of experience in backend development, working with scalable and high-performance systems

• Are proficient in at least one backend programming language such as Java, Python, or Go

• Have experience working with databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, and caching systems like Redis or Memcached

• Have hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS or GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)

• Possess a strong understanding of software engineering principles, including design patterns, algorithms, and data structures

• Have experience or exposure to live casino environments, streaming systems, or similar real-time applications (highly valued)

• Are fluent in English and comfortable working in cross-functional and international teams

• Have the right to work within the EU
